KNOW THE DIFFERENCE IN HAIR COLORS AND WHICH COLOR IS FOR YOU.

PERMANENT hair color is permanent and you will have roots (regrowth) that will need to be touched up.  Permanent hair color is best to cover over 50% grey hair and/or lightening hair without bleach.  Permanent hair color contains oxidation dyes and ammonia mixed with an activator known as peroxide in different strengths.  When lifting natural hair color, the level of peroxide his higher.  Permanent hair color is filled with Buffers (conditioners) to promote healthy hair.  If you have hair darker than a medium brown and want blonde hair you will need bleach to achieve blonde locks.  Foiling hair is the best way to achieve blonde highlights in a natural way without touching the scalp.  RED hair dyes tend to fade

quickly and permanent color can be the best way to achieve and keep red hair from fading.  With permanent hair color, we recommend monthly deep conditioning treatments to keep hair healthy and prevent fading.

DEMI PERMANENT hair color contains agent that are not as strong as permanent hair color, but stronger than semi permanent hair color.  There are Demi Permanent colors that cover gray hair - especially under 50% grey hair.  Demi Permanent color is a great way to add depth to mousy brown hair without permanently dying.  Of course, ask the professional, because the choice in using permanent hair color vs. Demi permanent hair color

varies based on your own hairs color.  Demi color is not recommended to lighten hair, but it is healthier for the hair.  It can be used to tone highlights and promotes shine!

SEMI PERMANENT hair color fades out over time because the hair color molecules are smaller and do not penetrate deeply into the hair shaft.

You can use semi permanent color in between hair color process to revive color.  Semi Permanent hair color also offers shine to the hair and is a beautiful way to achieve rich brown hair and revive red hair.  Semi permanent color does not lighten hair or cover grey hair.  If you are on the fence about what hair color you want, semi permanent color is a great way to "try" out a color.  Red and Black dyes are harder to remove especially on light hair.  Semi Permanent color is the gentlest of all color processes and will promote shine!
