Seaweed wraps, also called thalassotherapy, use warm, thick mixtures of seaweed and ocean water to detoxify and replenish the skin. The healthful paste is spread over the whole body, then wrapped in heat-retaining plastic to encourage the skin to release toxins and absorb the minerals and vitamins from the wrap.
