How Your Zodiac Sign Affects Your Hair Style

Over the course of my tenure as a hairstylist the Zodiac has always intrigued me, I realize there is much more to a person's astrological chart than their sun sign, but there is definitely a correlation between their sun sign and their hair color and style.  

I love to guess a new client's zodiac sign, and I must admit I am often correct!  Discussing their sign, and personality traits lead to endless conversations.  I use the knowledge of their astrological sign to aid in creating a style that I know they will love.  

Below is a breakdown of styles that I believe work perfectly well with an individual's sign.  Of course, there are variables, but below is my impression,  it is all in fun!

Capricorn

Capricorns are known for their no-nonsense approach to life, the little sea-goat slowly climbs the ladder to success until she gets to the top. But their hair is never no-nonsense, the goat loves to show off a sexy mane of hair, contrary to their conservative reputation.

Cap's pick the perfect color, stick with it, and keep their hair super healthy and shiny.  Most days their hair is up in a sophisticated style, but when they let it down watch out!

 

 

Aquarius

Are often in their own head, they have a hard time expressing their emotions.  They love and need their freedom, their hair is often loose and relaxed.  They do not like to fuss over their hair since their focus is more on humanity. A perfect style for an Aquarian, the water bearer, is beachy waves or letting their hair do its "own" thing

.

 

Pisces

Are dreamy, sensitive, and emotional, when the fish swims upstream all is good, but when they go downstream they experience hardship.  Fortunately, they move upstream full of love and compassion.  They love to experiment with quirky hairstyles and colors.  You will often spot Pisces with a funky do, wearing a pair of docs and cool fantastical makeup.

Aries

This firey chic has a strong personality, she often has no filter and tells it like it is.  She is confident and loves blonde bold hair color.  The ram loves to stand out in a crowd and is known for her beauty and piercing eyes.  Her style is one of sexy sophistication.

 

Taurus

Adores the finer things in life, she is very tactile and prefers natural fabrics.  She is stubborn, we all know that, but it is often a facade to hide complex emotions.  When it comes to her hair, it must be perfectly coiffed, shiny, often long, and luxurious.

Gemini

Gemini gals are some of the best conversationalists I have ever met, the conversations are interesting in endless, they know a little about everything.  Their reputation does hold true, their moods are changeable, and most have in their blonde hair.  Their choice of hair color and style can vary based on their mood, that is why they love the "split decision" hair color and fun styling. The twin loves her hair extensions.

 

 

Cancer

Cancer can have an intense personality, they are sensitive yet kind.  They long to change the world and often seek solitude or a seaside meditation.  They yearn for comfort in their own skin, and they tend to wear their hair free-flowing like waves crashing on the shore.

Leo

Spotting a Leo is not hard, they exude confidence and are natural-born leaders. Their beauty and mane of hair capture attention and they like it that way.  Their hair is their crowning glory, and their motto is "the bigger the better!'

Virgo

This lady is a perfectionist, she can spot imperfections, of any kind, from a mile away.  Don't let her fool you, she is quite intuitive and known to be the most psychic of the zodiac. She loves to help others, this motivates her.  Often considered a bit "anal," and her hair can not have one strand out of place.  Her hair is sleek, exquisitely groomed,  whether worn short or long. No matter what hair color she chooses to wear, she never lets her roots grow in, and pre-books appointments well in advance.

Libra

Libras have a magnificent way of seeing all sides of the story, they are fair and genuine.  The sign is represented by the scale, and when it is off-kilter, they are not happy.  Their hair is very important to them, they appreciate symmetry and desire a flawless precise haircut.

Scorpio

Known to be the most sensual sign of the zodiac, but don't get on their bad side because they have quite a stinger!  They are bold, independent, and appreciate creativity.  They love to experiment with fantasy hair color and asymmetrical hair cuts. Their style is unique and eyecatching.

Sagittarius

Sag's are empathetic and unique souls that prefer to not be tied down.  They can be a little fickle at times, but that makes them endearing.  They love to travel and are great salespeople!  They are a client that enjoys experimenting with their hair color and will add ornaments like feathers to their hair.  It is hard for them to keep up with their hair appointments since they are always on the go, I keep their hair in an effortless style like "boho chic."

 

 

 This is just an observation based on my salon experience and does not hold true for everyone.  Keep in mind, you may have a moon sign or an ascendant that is in one of the above zodiac signs, this can be equally important since this is how the world sees you both physically and emotionally.
